Ideas to spend less.
Hello readers, here are some good ideas that i would like to share. i am pretty sure a lot of you already know or practise these ideas on a day to basis but it is always to share and remind ourselves what is more important to us...
1.Buy a smaller house: buy a house that has sufficient space for your family. Nothing more, nothing less. So you can spend more time enjoying your house rather than working to pay for it.
2.Look for used first: there are definitely stuff that you can't buy used. For the rest, if you can get a great deal for something that is still in a great working condition, please do not hesitate.
3.Eat out less. cook at home, it is a great family time, it saves a lot of money and you can discover or create interesting recipes of you own! You can even take some for lunch to school or lunch to save more cash.
4.Adopt a minimalist wardrobe: have the classics in your wardrobe ( a coat, a black dress, some nice pieces of accesories etc...) and stop wasting your money on those clothes that will only decorate your wardrobe! Buy used too, it saves a lot!
5. Cut your entertainment bill: Cut out cable,use the library, find free entertainment,cancel subscriptions,cut the cell phone(if you can live without!), quit smoking, drink in moderation,
6. Save on transportation: commute by bike, carpool or ride the bus, walk, travel frugally( look for deals everywhere, from airfare to accomodation and even activities), batch your errands to save on time and gas (if you drive)
7. Save on energy bills: wash clothes less, sun-dry clothes, use timers to turn lights on and off, unplug appliances and electronics, adjust the temperature before leaving the house or going to bed,use compact fluorescent bulbs, install energy saving Windows...
8. Manage your personal finances: stop using credit cards and pay by cash( this save a lot for people that have in store and online impulse shopping habits) plan ahead and make a budget to monitor you earnings and spending....stop paying interests, sell your clutter and stay home!
9. Save on groceries: drink water, reduce convenience foods, sweets in moderation, plan ahead to buy once a week or even once a month according to flyer, eat food according to seasons...
