4 Types of People Who Make Poor Entrepreneurs

By  Amy Levin-Epstein  |  CBS MoneyWatch   Thinking about going to work for yourself? While entrepreneurship has many perks, like having no boss and working on projects you're more passionate about, some kinds of people are better working for someone else. Here are four examples: People who hate risk.  Going into business on your own is a risk that can be controlled by making smartly calculated decisions, but there will always be the danger of failure, and fear of failure can damage a new business. "Risk-averse individuals that take any level risk will often... be paralyzed by the stress of the day-to-day tidings of what's needed to grow a business," said  Scott Gerber , founder of the Young Entrepreneur Council.  People who love their lifestyle.  Savvy owners of a new small business know that cutbacks in spending may be necessary, especially early on. "Your time, money, and resources must be committed to your essential lifestyle requirements and your business

Affordable superfoods that you can find everywhere.

Have you ever heard of the sentence '' food is the best medecine''? Well, now you know! At a time when even the best doctors in the world are redirecting us to food rather than the chemicals in drugs, here are some of the most common food that you can get at virtually every food store with their incredible unknown powers! Sweet potatoes Why they’re great: Sweet potatoes (which, despite their name, are related to the morning glory rather than the potato), are stuffed with fibre, phytonutrients and antioxidants, such as beta carotene and vitamin E. The Mayo Clinic reports that they may help lower the risk of some cancers. Sweet potatoes are low-glycemic, so they provide energy for longer than regular spuds. Ways to serve: Cut them into strips and bake them to make “fries,” mash them or try Olson’s recipe: “I roast the sweet potato with olive oil, salt and pepper, and right after it comes out of the oven, I squeeze in lime juice, which contrasts with the potato b

I agree with Bill Gates, do you?

Bill Gates recently gave a speech at a High School about eleven (11) things they did not and will not learn in school. Rule 1 : Life is not fair - get used to it! ... Rule 2 : The world doesn't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself. Rule 3 : You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both. Rule 4 : If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss Rule 5 : Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping : They called it opportunity. Rule 6 : If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them. Rule 7 : Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you tho

Ideas to spend less.

Hello readers, here are some good ideas that i would like to share. i am pretty sure a lot of you already know or practise these ideas on a day to basis but it is always to share and remind ourselves what is more important to us... 1.Buy a smaller house: buy a house that has sufficient space for your family. Nothing more, nothing less. So you can spend more time enjoying your house rather than working to pay for it. 2.Look for used first: there are definitely stuff that you can't buy used. For the rest, if you can get a great deal for something that is still in a great working condition, please do not hesitate. 3.Eat out less . cook at home, it is a great family time, it saves a lot of money and you can discover or create interesting recipes of you own! You can even take some for lunch to school or lunch to save more cash. 4.Adopt a minimalist wardrobe: have the classics in your wardrobe ( a coat, a black dress, some nice pieces of accesories etc...) and stop wasting your mo

Can you afford to work for yourself? The upsides and downsides to stepping out of the corporate structure.

Love what you do but hate having to go to work everyday? Or maybe you sense the axe is about to fall as your employer downsizes? Could you be your own boss? Being self-employed requires discipline, focus and confidence. It also requires having unique knowledge, skill or expertise. Statistics Canada says 1.8 million self-employed people worked at home in 2008 (the last year figures were available), up from 1.4 million in 2000, and the trend is expected to continue. It's not something everyone can do. Trades people, for example, are often self employed or have a side business while knowledge-based workers also develop a freelance business or dream of going out on their own. If you're in the right kind of job there are lots of advantages to becoming self employed: There are distinct tax advantages because almost everything required to make a living is tax deductible such as your mobile phone, Internet connection, car and gas. You may make less annually, but you'll

6 High-Paying Work from Home Jobs

Yes, It Works! If you got the skills , why not? By Alida Moore Payscale.com In today’s world of mobile technology and 24/7 connection to our networks, telecommuting has become easier than ever. But, while not every job is well-suited to the mobile worker, there are some careers that make working from home a strong possibility. "The ability to work from home is a privilege, not a right," says Katie Bardaro, lead economist at online salary database PayScale.com . "The best way to prepare yourself for it is to become a star performer in your current role and show the powers that be that you have the ability to succeed in your role with limited supervision." It is common for employees with work-from-home privileges to report higher earnings than their in-office counterparts. This is probably because trusted and valued workers are more likely to be able to negotiate a work-from-home situation. "It's very rare to be able to work from home if you'r

Is Network Marketing really the future of business? Maybe or Maybe not...

Have you ever been approached by someone praising how fast they got money and want to «help» other people succeed? How you will be so successful in no time you will quit you day job selling their products? How it is more satisfying to be your own boss and not be employed and paid by someone else? The Good news is I was approached too! The bad news, this kind of business is not made for everyone. I did not enroll but I know a lot of people are tempted to just  like I was. So before you take the big step, here is some advice. From Scott Allen, former About.com Guide It never ceases to amaze me the extreme polar views on the topic of network marketing and MLM. Some people are passionate about it in the extreme, and there are even top celebrity authors like Robert Allen, Mark Victor Hansen, and Robert Kiyosaki doing it and advocating it. Yet, in many circles, you might as well declare yourself a leper as admit to being in network marketing. So, what is the problem with MLM and networ
